You can then reposition the selection or apply the commands and options in the Edit and Effects menus tO K To select paint area with the Marquee tool: select the tool from the Tool Box drag to describe rectangle around the area of paint object that you want to select. Canvas indicates that it is selected by displaying flashing dashed border To deselect marqueed area click outside of the area click another object, or select another tool from the Tool Box Hold down the Command key when selecting an area with the Marquee tool to eliminate any excess background space (your selection will still be rectangular). Double-click paint obj ject with the Marquee tool to select the entire obj ject.
